Walk on the 2nd January 2010
Left my camera in the car after taking one shot on the drive to the hills. Road conditions very bad.
Left from Newcastle to the top of Donard via the Blackstairs. Some scrambling with crampons and ice axe then a long pull to the top. Solid winter conditions. From Donard to the top of Comedagh then down to the Pot of Legawherry up a steep slope to the top of Slieve Corragh then Comedagh and down; the Glen River Valley. Conditions required crampons but that didn't stop people from being on the hills without them. Groups making their way back to Newcastle by sliding on their bums! Takes all sorts!
